My Paint-by-Number Adventure: Days Six-Eight

On Friday, I took my afternoon Ritalin and decided to paint for just a bit. “Just a bit” turned into three hours! I was really enjoying myself too! Sure the paint drives me nuts, and I sometimes question the choices of whoever created the paint-by-number, but all in all the painting is really coming along. I dare say it looks pretty good, too!

Because I’ve been enjoying painting, I may get one or two more paint-by-numbers in the future. The next ones won’t have so many tiny details, however. There are two I really like, and they’d be perfect to hang in the second bathroom.

Now that I’ve realized the creator can’t be totally trusted, I have been trying to keep an eye on the big picture, instead of concentrating solely on the tiny areas I am painting. That has led me to making a few changes here and there. If only I could go back in time and fix the sky and that one flower:

Why? Just…why?

I ordered a magnifying glass to see the tiny numbers, which has been a great help. However, some of those numbers are so small, you can’t even read them with a magnifying glass. I will paint them a color of my own choosing.

I forgot another thing that irks me! These paintings are supposed to be 16×20. But mine is 16×19.5! Hopefully I have enough paint left to add an extra half-inch to my sky. I’m going to be mad if I can’t get it to twenty inches. How am I supposed to frame it?
